The Shining - Is Jack Nicholson really crazy or is he a great actor? The Shining has to be one of the all time thrillers in movies and is now available on dvd. He is masterful as he goes nuts over a period of time. No sudden jerks into the fruitcake farm for him. It builds to insanity.

Psycho - As a contrast Norman Bates is a full blown nut by the time the victim steps into the shower. There is murder most foul done and mostly off screen. Unlike the slasher movies this one leaves it to your imagination.

The Silence of the Lambs - Dr. Hannibal Lecter knows that he is psychotic and he really enjoys it.

Alien - Aliens with acid spit that pop out of a guys chests is gonna give you the creeps. Count on it. This critter is so mean and tough that it is almost impossible to kill but has an egg laying instinct surpassing even the most gifted chicken. This movie defines edge of the seat suspense.

Final Destination - This is a top of the line thriller. You always think you know how they are going to die. you don't.

Final Destination 2 - This one is even better than the original. They wow you with thrills as you try and pin down death to a sensible routine. he won't play.

Jaws - Ok, it's a big fish but the music drives the thrill.

Saw - Ok, it could be mistaken for a slasher film but it really is a top of the line thriller.

Seven - The seven deadly sins is the foundation for this thriller. The serial killer uses them as a theme for murder. Lust, envy, greed, sloth, pride, wrath, and gluttony. Forcing some fat guy to eat spaghetti until he bursts is a lot more gross than suspenseful but over all the movie has to be rated as one of the top thrillers.

The Usual Suspects - Keyser Soze is perhaps the best mostly behind the scenes character that has ever driven a thriller. Verbal Kint weaves a tale based on Keysrs fearsome reputation when he breaks down before the federal D.A, and finally tells the story. But did he?

The Sixth Sense - Director Shyamalan's only film worth a note. "I see dead people." is the most famous line from it.

Tremors - Classic thriller with great big worms that bite. Despite the Luke warm sound to the first line this movie is well worth renting. It has lots of thrills for the average person.
