DVD Rental - New Movie Releases TV and Cable Shows

Are you sick and tired of the trip to the rental store through bad weather blowing wind and whipping snow only to find that they do not have the movie you want to rent. They never ever have enough copies of the new releases and you are always standing there hearing that they rented the last one just a few minutes ago. TV cable is playing the same tired twenty releases and you know that there were movies enough made and released last year to let you watch at least two a night.

Now instead of plowing through the snow you can get the movies that you want to see when you want to see them. Rent a DVD movie and they will send it to you. Keep it as long as you want, send it back and they will ship you another video from your list. It is low cost and you can watch the movie as many times as you want. AND, it's cheap. You pay the same low cost membership per month no matter how many movies you watch. They don't rip you on the shipping and handling costs either. It is a free service both ways.

Video rental has mostly gone to the DVD format these days. It is far superior to tape and the players are way cheap to buy.

The world has moved on since the days that you were forced to trudge through the snow, ice, and rain to rent some movies. Now we can leave all that to the mailman, it is his job anyway.Typically now all you have to do is establish a list of dvds that you want to rent and they will be sent to you on demand. No more do you have to worry about a 24 hour turnaround time to get the movies back to the video store, or face outrageous late fees. Late fees are a thing of the past. The way it works is that you keep the movie for as long as you like, watch it as many times as you like, and the drop it into the mailbox in a prepaid envelope. When the rental company gets that movie back they go to your list and send you the next one.
The list of movies really is amazing. The motion picture companies have been trying a new strategy. Instead of holding back the DVD release for a year or more the are moving the release dates for DVD right up on the heels of the release to theaters. They have come to realize that lots and lots of people are not going to get all dressed up and pay $10..00 or more for a ticket and be forced to watch the movie in a crowded theater. They are going to wait until it comes out in VHS or DVD and rent it The Theatrical release date is no longer a year or more. It is not unusual these days to be able to rent the dvd at the same time it is playing in theaters.
There were over 700 movies released in 2006. Did you have time to money to get to the theater to see them all. Sure, about half must have been duds and not worth the time and certainly not worth the ten bucks, plus popcorn, and your favorite beverage. but hey, now you can take your time and explore them all in the comfort of your own home. Cheaper popcorn and a brewski or two not amiss, as you watch the movies on your dvd. Pause it while you go to the bathroom. What a relief!
Ok, so you are paying $39.95 or $49.95 or $69.95 a month for all the premium movies channels on cable. You have from 25 to 50 premium movie channels which should get you a new movie to watch every night of your life. But, it's not so. The movie channels on cable duplicate each other. At times you can surf the movie networks and see the same movie playing on up to three different channels. Now, keep in mind that over 700 movies were released in 2005 alone. Why in the world should you be stuck with the same twenty or so movies month after month? The amusing thing about it is that when you get your cable bill they never include a, "Coming Attractions" flyer in the envelops. Don't you suppose that they would if there was really anything new? Sure, when you first hook up the box and start surfing the channels you are truly amazed at all the movies you get. But wait a month or so and you will have watched them all, even (shudder) some chick flicks just because there is nothing new in the lineup. There is just too much out there that you are never going to see on cable. Cancel it and sign up for a dvd in the mail service.

You get to see the movies that you want to see. Cable, even digital cable, is never going to have the kind of quality that you get off a dvd. New dvd releases hit the dvd market long before they hit cable. If you have the TV for it you can watch movies in High-definition in either Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. Both Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD are different formats for DVD movies. Both formats offer much sharper images and a lot better sound. No matter if you have blue ray or HD DVD for watching the movies you will still get a much better picture and sound than you would on cable television. Not to mention, again, that you get to watch the movies when you want and as many times as you want. Also included is a pause button for bathroom breaks or visting the kitchen for movie watching snacks.
